How to find us

Click on the ‘home’ icon on the above map for our address and the ‘get directions’ link will take you to Google Maps. If you are travelling by car or public transport, then individual details are set out below. Car parking arrangements are set out, too.

The vast majority of our guests will be travelling from the east so once past Exeter on the M5, stay in the left hand two lanes when the motorway ends, signposted Okehampton/Bodmin A30.

Stay on the A30 for approximately 65 miles and exit the A30 following signs for A390 St Austell. Continue following signs for St Austell for approximately 12 miles. Once on the outskirts of St Austell, continue on the A390 until the McDonalds roundabout when you will turn left signposted Mevagissey.

You pass through London Apprentice and after passing the Pentewan Sands complex, at the top of the hill approaching Mevagissey, you will need to turn left. You can access us by going into the main village, but this is not advisable.

After 500 yards, go straight over the mini-roundabout, past the school and you will see Tregorran signposted from the entrance to Cliff Street. We are approximately 150 yards down this road on the right-hand side.

Cornwall in general is famed for its narrow streets and Mevagissey is no different. This means that car parking in the village is at a premium but at Tregorran, we can accommodate six cars – one for each room – in our car park at the front of the property. Very few accommodation providers can boast anything close to this in Mevagissey.

In order to fit six cars in the car park, two will need to park in front of our garage which is used for storage and the other two in the designated bays in front of our entrance.

The final two vehicles will have to park in front of the rest and block everyone else in. However, due to our location being only a five-minute walk away from the village, very few guests use their cars in the evenings. Nevertheless, if you do wish to use your car in the evening, please let us know so you don’t get blocked in.

After breakfast, if you are blocked in, we ask guests to move as we know which cars belong to which rooms. We have had this system in operation for nearly five years now and it has always worked perfectly.

Finally, we ask guests that block everyone else in to leave their keys in their room. This is because, in the event of an emergency, we would have to move your vehicle. If any guest is unhappy with leaving keys, then we would advise them to park on Cliff Street itself which, off yellow lines, is totally unrestricted – even in high season.

The closest train station to Mevagissey is St Austell, which has a regular service to and from London Paddington station and is operated by Great Western Railway. A full timetable can be viewed by clicking here.

From St Austell, Mevagissey is approximately five miles and you can either take a taxi, or the regular bus service which is provided by First Kernow and Go Cornwall Bus. A full timetable can be viewed by clicking here (First) and here (Go Cornwall).

The bus service (number 24) runs regularly to Mevagissey and every hour during high season. The service terminates in the village opposite the Willow Car park and you will need to walk the rest of the way. Walk into the village and when in Market Square, walk towards the Fountain Inn public house. Walk past the Fountain and up Cliff Street. After 100 yards, turn right and continue walking uphill until you reach Tregorran.

A taxi will cost you approximately £12 and we would recommend booking in advance. We recommend using Jess’ Cars – 07813287118 or Spot-On Cabs – 01726 847877.
