Fishing boats in Mevagissey harbour

We’re back, with a new website!

Yesterday (Tuesday) we welcomed our first guests to Tregorran since March.

After some late nights and early mornings, we finished putting into place all the relevant measures needed to comply with reopening post-lockdown.

This has meant changes to almost every way we operate – a more formal and shortened check-in procedure, no room entry during any stay and a limited breakfast menu. Our full breakfast experience is the one thing that we really miss being able to provide currently, but we know this is only a temporary measure.

When we can serve a full breakfast, we will.

Along with the changes that we have had to implement, lockdown wasn’t spent twiddling thumbs and enjoying the early summer sun – well, perhaps we’ve fibbed a bit there because we did have days spent in the garden doing not a lot. Sorry!

Room six (Charlestown) has had a lick of paint with the breakfast room getting similar treatment. Further improvements to those made in room four (Chapel Point) during the previous winter have been carried out too.

Also, by being able to read this blog post, it means you are doing so on our shiny brand-new website. To put it bluntly, our old site was dreadfully inadequate for our needs. With this in mind, we put the previous incarnation in the world-wide-web’s virtual dustbin and started from scratch.

Now we have comprehensive sections detailing everything from prices, individual room description (and pictures) to directions on how to find us and of course, a blog which we will be updating regularly.

In the coming weeks, we will add a ‘Places of Interest’ and ‘Local Events’ page too.

The new website will in turn drive more custom directly our way opposed guests using online travel agents such as booking.com. If you are reading this and are thinking of booking, please do so via the ‘book online’ button – there are lots of these dotted around the new site, including at the bottom of this page – or by phone or check availability by using the ‘Booking Enquiry’ feature.

Those who book directly through us enjoy better rates across the board and we look forward to welcoming guests – new and old – to Tregorran this summer.

Gareth, Lara, Oliva and Toby xx.
